And a normal wiki link on the Republic of France.

[Personality]
++ France is a palate of traits and personae. Let's begin what he's on the outside, that is, his affective personality. Affectionate, loyal, fun-loving, flamboyant, egotistical, flighty, and a tease, France may come off to others as a rather classic, comedic form of a flamboyant gentleman.... that's not above some tactful rudeness.

++ He does not hesitate to make obscene or inappropriate comments or gestures; in fact in canon he is often shown jumping on the opportunity to do so. He's a shameless flirt, in other words, but while he does play around it's mostly part of his eccentric outward personality.

++ France does enjoy his cup of coffee with some philosophy. He's a humanist at heart, and believes in the good and beauty of all things. He's the man to go to if you wish to answer the big questions in life, but don't expect him to answer them right away without some teasing first. Perhaps it's this part of him that makes him appear overly affectionate to others. He's not afraid or shy to do so, even with a culture barriers. Life is good, people are good, and appreciation should be shown.

++ He is a lover of all things beautiful and even acknowledges that he himself is the "dandiest of dandies". Although the lines of France having love for just about anything, he is also very tolerant. It does not matter if you're male, female, a cat, or a boat-- if it has appeal or a certain unique, endearing oddness to it, France will respect it and treat it as a masterpiece.

++ He appreciates creativity in all of its forms. It goes without saying that this makes him have both expensive tastes, but he is not above trying anything new or trendy.

++ Even if the person or object itself doesn't see their own beauty or others may scoff at a particular strange artwork, France will see the aesthetic in practically everything... unless you're England or remind him of England. If so, don't expect any politeness.

++ That being said, France is confident in his charisma, looks, and talents, often boasts of them, and as such he can be imposing and prideful. France can take both military losses well and insults to his pride with a wave of his hand (or hair toss); his ego is just that big. Despite this-- or rather because of it-- he attempts to carry himself with the air of a laid-back nobleman, although that might not shine through all the time.

++ He has a very, very high sense of self-preservation. It's probably why he's so excellent at retreating.

++ France loves sharing. He likes to share his wine and food, so long as you know it's the best. He likes to share his opinions. He likes to share his affection... and touches. (Bad touch? What's that?) He's got a big heart and thinks himself overly generous when he shares. In fact, everyone should have a little bit of France. It would make the the world a much more beautiful place.

++ There is one catch to his sharing: in of it itself he may be rather opportunistic. He may only share what others absolutely need to know-- this includes both physical, material, and philosophical help, and then be on his way.

++ It is this arrogant and stubborn aspect of him that others who dislike him may tend to remember. He will run arguments into the ground and disagree with things only for the sake of disagreeing. And then he'll argue that the argument itself (no matter how trivial) is due to being a great thinker.

++ Over all, France has a good head on his shoulders, knows his general rights from his wrongs, still does the wrongs for reasons of pleasure and leisure, but always makes amends in the end. If you're his friend, he's got your back and will stay loyal until the end (and will probably flirt with you). He will be there for you when you need him and for when you don't. After all, he's the type to drop in unexpected and uninvited at times. Even if you're not his friend, he will treat you with some amount of respect.

[Abilities]
So as a nation he has this like... pseudo-immortality like thing going, and inhuman strength. He's also a really shot and swordsman, painter, singer, dancer, and musician.

[Other important stuff]

[Sample post]
[First Person]
Oui,....oui... Ah-- I think I got this to work! Oho, and they said I am not compatible with modern technology. Even if it was one of my own who was the one who first invented the guillotine back then... Ah, that's right-- I would like to order room service. Or a huntsman. One of the two; that difference matters not so long as the person is capable. Before you ask, non, I will not, cannot tell what I have requested a service for. [ That doesn't sound suspicious, does it, huh? ]

I would take care of this myself; however... it is two in the afternoon. [ A dramatic sigh. ] I expect someone to arrive within the next fifteen minutes. [ As it turns out, he's figure out there's an 'England' on the contacts list, and that means the equivalent to room service for him! So what if he made it a community wide post. ]

[Third Person]
France can stroll anywhere he wishes to with a refined flamboyance. Be it vineyard or sewer, countryside or urban, so long as he is there, in his mind that alone improves the overall quality of the location. That's right: France could raise the aesthetic, increase the price on an object, and could instantly attach authenticity and elegance by simply attaching his name to a object, person, or location. Ah, the power of being acknowledged as elegant coupled with mere association.

Indeed, everything needs a touch of France in it. And the best part about it? France loves being generous, affectionate, or what have you, to spread this ideal that everything should have a little bit of France.

But. That is not to say France lends his name to anything. Merchandise, food, and culture itself must fit a certain criteria and reach a hand-picked quality. He doesn't care if this may seem elitist or picky. What is beautiful is beautiful in his eyes; that is all. It's not his fault the rest of the world simply attempts to follow suit or doesn't live up to his (admittedly sometimes odd) standards.

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?]
Because Soma is awesome.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] No infomodding! Because it makes plots more fun.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] Internet.
[Any questions?]
Will you be my Da Vinci if I be your Mona Lisa?
